Kendra Karter is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. She is best known for her catchy pop songs and her unique take on modern music.
Kendra Karter was born in Los Angeles, California. As a child, she was exposed to a range of musical styles from jazz and blues to R&B, hip-hop, and even classical. She immediately fell in love with music and started writing her own songs at the age of 12. As an adult, she pursued her musical dreams by attending the Los Angeles Recording School where she honed her skills as a producer. She then signed with Atlantic Records where she released two critically acclaimed albums, “My Dream” in 2014 and “The Art of Storytelling” in 2017. Her songwriting style has been described as "astute" and "melodic" as well as "pop-driven". Her sound is often described as “a blend of classic soul and contemporary EDM." Kendra Karter has also collaborated with many of today's top artists including Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, Anderson Paak, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull and more. In 2019 Kendra was featured on DJ Khaled's hit single "Wish Wish" alongside Cardi B & 21 Savage which rocketed up the Billboard Hot 100 chart to number 5. Kendra's work has been featured in multiple film projects including Netflix's 'Candy Jar' starring Christina Hendricks & Uzo Aduba; as well as '12 Feet Deep' starring Emmy Award winning actress Tina Majorino & Alexandra Park; 'Flaunt Magazine' starring Jenna Dewan Tatum; And most recently 'Power Rangers' starring Bryan Cranston & Elizabeth Banks. As part of her philanthropic efforts Kendra supports charities such as Feed California And the UMCOR disaster relief fund which provides assistance to victims of natural disasters worldwide. Kendra is currently working on her third studio album which will be released in 2021. She continues to bring her signature sound to the world of music with every project she takes on!
